Create a monster

Today we sing and watch different songs and videos to learn vocabulary about halloween. Then the 2nd pupils create a monster and we review the body parts: mouth, ears, nose...

Cooking at school

Joining food and halloween we prepared two halloween recipes in class: a banana ghost and a finger witch.  Our students of 6th had a great time cooking and eating because they were delicious!

Halloween short videos

Students from 6th love frightening short films and today we watch some of them in class to practise listening, reading comprehension and vocabulary.

Halloween is a great opportunity to work with song and practise pronunciation, spelling and grammar.

Today we sing two popular songs: Thriller of Michael Jackson (5th primary) and This is Halloween (6th primary). We watch the video, sing, dance and make some activities.

Halloween is coming...!

We're ready for Halloween! The English class and the school is plenty of ghosts, witches, pumpkins, bats, skeletons... It's very scary!

How to cook a spider pizza

We're learning about food and Halloween is coming, for that reason today we watch a video of how to cook a spider pizza, yummy!

Then we write the recipe of our favourite pizza.

This week we draw and colour some spooky drawings to decorate the school for Halloween.

WRITING A LETTER

To start with the pen friend
s project we watched and learnt how to write a letter and its main parts.

Next they started the letters writing about personal information, school, hobbies, likes, dislikes... Now our letters are ready to send!

PEN FRIENDS

This course let's start a PEN FRIENDS PROJECT with our students from 6th primary. They are going to write letters to pupils from Yecla and Barcelona.

This motivating activity has the purpose of improve, practice written communication and learn the language in a real context.

Our students are very excited with the idea and me too, do you want to share with us this experience?

WRITING SENTENCES

Writing in English is a bit complicated for children, for this reason using games is a good way to practise.
Today we made a writing race: I show them two flashcards and they write a sentence about it in the whiteboards.

They do it quite well!

LISTENING ABOUT FOOD

Today our 6th students practised listening. First they watched a video about ice-cream and then we made a comprehension activity about the video with the True or False cards.

To finish the class with good vibes we listened, sang and danced this funny song "Milkshake"

ENVELOPES GAME

Our students from 5th are learning the routines with the adverbs of frequency.
Today they played a game in small groups to learn the sentence order. They have an envelope with words to order and make a sentence, next they write the sentence in their notebook.

It is a very funny game and they learn a lot!

PARTS OF THE HOUSE

Our little children from 2nd of primary are learning the parts of the house with this song and this story. They like it a lot!

Yesterday our 6th students started unit 1. The unit is about food, recipes and halloween so today we play PASSWORD to revise and activate food vocabulary.

REVISION GAMES

Our students of 2nd of primary played some games to review the contents of the starter unit. The classroom was divided into several games and every 6-7 minutes the children rotated and changed the game.

They had a great time playing although we have to review some game rules!
