Speaking activity

We played this game. It is very simple and funny:

👧 Is it a girl or a boy?
🧒It's a boy
👧 Is it tall?
🧒 No, it isn't
👧 Is it good -looking?
🧒 Yes, it is!
👧 Is the book...?

Kaboom

We play kaboom to practice the units 1,2,3 and 4 and some basic vocabulary.

It is a speaking game and they enjoy a lot playing!

Games about transports

Today we play some games to practice this new vocabulary.

• Guess what

• Clever parrots: if the word matches the picture the children repeat the word, if it is different they should be quiet.

Finish the drawing activity

This activity has two parts that we do in two days.

📌1st part: Draw & Speaking
They finish the drawing and they describe the picture to his partner. Then they change the roles.

📌2nd part: Writing
They write about both girls to describe them.

Gap information activity

Everybody has a different photocopy with his plans. They have to go around the class asking for their plans:

💭What are you going to do on Tuesday?
💭I am going to read a magazine. And What are you going to do on Saturday?
💭I am going to go to the cinema.

Food boardgame

We play this boardgame to review the structures: I'm eating... and I'm drinking...and the food vocabulary.

Our speaking auxiliary

Last week was the last Francesca stayed with us. As a farewell she prepared a presentation about her country: Philippines. We discovered its beautiful beaches, its population, etc.
Finally we took some photos!

What animal am I?

It is a funny game and children enjoy speaking English.

One student has an animal on his head and his group describe it saying sentences:
💭 It's got feathers
💭 It's got wings
💭 It hasn't got teeth
💭 It's small and brown
✅ I know, its a chicken!

Groups dictation

In this activity the groups have the same text but some some information is missing. By groups they tell their information to their partners and the rest complete the text.

It's a good way to practise the 4 skills.

Speaking farm animals

In this activity student A has a farm with animals and student B has an empty farm. They have to ask:

💭Can you see a pig?
💭No, I can't
💭Can you see a sheep?
💭Yes, I can see four sheeps

They ask and draw the animals. These are the results.

Kaboom! Comparatives and superlatives

Kaboom is a very exciting Game and children love it.

How to play?
🔢 Students take a stick with a number and they say a comparative sentence.
✅ If the sentence is correct the stick is for the group.
❌ If the sentence is wrong they return the stick.
💣 Kaboom! They return all the sticks they have.

🏆 The winner is the team with more sticks.

Could/ Couldn't boardgame

To practise the structures I could swim, I Couldn't walk when I was a baby... We played this boardgame.

They love boardgames!

Wh past questions boardgame

A different boardgame to practise oral expression and past tense questions. They like It a lot!

Kaboom past simple

Kaboom is a funny speaking Game!

There are different sticks with numbers, one student take a stick and answer a question. If the answer is correct his team has the stick, if it is not right he returns the stick but if one student takes the KABOOM stick...returns all the stick his team has!

Picture dictation

They do this activity in pairs. Student A talks about his picture using the structure: There was a river... Student B draws the picture. Then they change the rol.

The results are very funny! 📝✌

Speaking A/B

Today we practise speaking with our  auxiliary.
They have to talk about the picture and complete the names. It is a good opportunity to review the past simple!

Talking about Altura

Today we talk about Altura in the past and today through these photos.

It is a good way to activate vocabulary and grammar structures as there is/ are/ was or were but also comparatives!

They were very surprised and interested watching the photos! 🤩🏡🏢
